I’m sitting in YVR, and a shopping bag of a guy sitting in the same section as me caught my eye. Disney. Toy Story. Which park? I’d been to three this summer. Hong Kong Disneyland? No. Tokyo Disneyland? Close. DisneySea. It was really common in Asia to be on the train and see people with the Disney park bags, but they became fewer and farther between the farther I was from the respective Disney resort lines. Here, in Vancouver, in a domestic terminal, I encountered one again, effectively reminding me that, for all the flights and cities and itineraries and culture clashes I have experienced this summer, it really is a small world after all.
